Belzutifan (Welireg) is a once-daily tablet that blocks HIF-2α, a protein that drives tumor growth when the VHL protein is missing or faulty.

Used for: Tumors of von Hippel-Lindau disease (kidney cancer, brain and spinal cord hemangioblastomas, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors) not needing immediate surgery; kidney cancer with a clear cell component; pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma in adults and children 12 and older
