Use the genotypes in your Genomind report

Enter the genotypes from your Genomind report and get a Gene2Rx Panel Report: every covered medication interpreted against current CPIC, FDA, and DPWG guidance, not just the ones on your original report.

How it works

  1. Enter your genotypes

Pick the two star alleles for each gene on your report, such as CYP2D6 *1/*4.

  2. Check your coverage

See which medications your results cover before you pay.

  3. Get your report

Your Panel Report is ready in your account within minutes, as a web page and a PDF.

Where to find your genotypes in a Genomind report

The gene summary table on the first page lists each gene with its genotype, such as CYP2C19 *2/*3, next to a phenotype such as PM. The Pharmacokinetic Gene Variations section later in the report repeats each genotype with more detail. Older Genecept reports are laid out differently but list the same kind of genotype.

  1. Find each gene below that appears on your report and copy both of its alleles.
  2. The summary table shows CYP3A4/5 on one line, such as *1/*1, *3/*3. The first pair is CYP3A4 and the second is CYP3A5; the Pharmacokinetic Gene Variations section lists them separately. Enter each on its own row.
  3. COMT appears as Val158Met; choose Val or Met for each allele. MTHFR, HLA results, and genes such as UGT2B15 can't be entered. Leave them out.

Genomind's sample report shows the summary table and this section. See also Gene2Rx vs Genomind.

Genes you can enter

CYP2D6CYP2C19CYP2C9CYP3A4CYP3A5CYP2B6CYP1A2SLCO1B1UGT1A1TPMTNUDT15DPYDVKORC1CYP4F2COMT

These cover most of the drug-metabolism genes on GeneSight, Genomind, and clinical PGx panel reports. CYP2D6 duplications (such as *2xN) and tandems (such as *36+*10) are supported.

You can also enter ABCG2, ADH1B, AKT1, ALDH2, BCHE, CACNA1S, CHRNA5, CYP2A6, FAAH, GIPR, GLP1R, IFNL3, NAT2, RYR1, SULT1A1, including single-variant results such as rs4680 G/A. Results reported only as a phenotype or a color category can't be entered, and genes such as HLA, MTHFR, SLC6A4, and HTR2A aren't supported. Medications that depend only on genes you don't enter won't be in your report.

Questions

Can I use my Genomind results with Gene2Rx?

Yes. The gene summary table on the first page of a Genomind report lists each genotype, such as CYP2C19 *2/*3, and the Pharmacokinetic Gene Variations section repeats them in more detail. Enter them and Gene2Rx interprets them for every medication in its guideline set for $19. No new sample is needed.

How do I enter Genomind's combined CYP3A4/5 result?

The summary table shows CYP3A4 and CYP3A5 on one line, such as "*1/*1, *3/*3". The first pair is CYP3A4 and the second is CYP3A5. The Pharmacokinetic Gene Variations section lists them separately, so check there and enter each gene on its own row.

Can I enter my COMT, CYP1A2, MTHFR, or HLA results?

COMT and CYP1A2 can be entered: Genomind writes COMT as Val158Met, so choose Val or Met for each allele. HLA results, MTHFR, and genes such as UGT2B15, SLC6A4, and HTR2A can't be entered. Leave them out. Medications that depend only on those genes won't be in your report.

Does Gene2Rx verify my results?

No. We check that each genotype is one we can interpret, but we never see your laboratory report, so copy your results carefully. If you mistype a genotype, you can correct it later at no charge.

Have a 23andMe or AncestryDNA file instead?

Raw data files cover more genes, so a report from your file is usually more complete. See our raw-data reports.
